Ho Chi Minh (SGN) Tan Son Nhat Airport: Paid Lounge Access Guide

Tan Son Nhat International (SGN) is Vietnam's busiest airport, handling more than 40 million passengers annually across 3 terminals. It is located 6 km (4 mi) north of the center of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

Many travelers assume airport lounges require elite status or business class tickets, but SGN offers several paid-access lounges where anyone can purchase entry.

Ho Chi Minh City Airport operates three terminals. Terminals 1 and 3 handle domestic flights, while Terminal 2 serves international departures. Paid-access lounges are available in all three terminals, although the selection varies depending on where you’re flying.

Ho Chi Minh City Airport operates across three terminals:

• Terminal 1 handles domestic flights operated by airlines other than Vietnam Airlines, plus select Vietnam Airlines regional routes.

• Terminal 2 covers international flights 24 hours a day.

• Terminal 3 serves as Vietnam Airlines' primary domestic hub.

Terminals 1 and 2 sit next to each other and are connected by a covered walkway, allowing you to walk between them in about 5 minutes. Terminal 3 is located 3 km (2 mi) away and requires the airport’s free shuttle bus or another vehicle for transfers.

Free shuttle buses operate between the terminals, typically every 10-20 minutes. Allow around 15-20 minutes to reach Terminal 3 from Terminals 1 or 2. 

Terminal 1's domestic operations center around Gates 1-20, with the Le Saigonnais Business Lounge nearby at Gate 11. (Note that the Prime Lounge at this terminal is currently not open.)

This domestic airside lounge is one of the airport’s best-value paid-access options. It accommodates up to 70 guests and offers views of the runway.

Location: Terminal 1, after security, near Gate 11

Opening Hours: 06:00-21:00 (6am-9pm) daily. The maximum stay is 3 hours. The schedule covers most domestic flights, though very late departures may find the lounge closed.

Amenities: Wi-Fi, food, conference rooms, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Food and Drink: Vietnamese dishes, including traditional pho, are served for breakfast and lunch. The buffet rotates local favorites, including spring rolls, banh mi sandwiches, and regional specialties.

A full bar stocks local and international beers, wines, and spirits. Coffee enthusiasts can choose between Vietnamese drip coffee and espresso-based drinks.

Terminal 2's international operations run 24 hours a day, with lounges distributed across multiple levels of the departure area. Many facilities offer paid access, ranging from basic amenities to specialized services such as halal dining and showers.

This international lounge, located airside, serves travelers seeking alcohol-free dining in a family-friendly environment. Certified by the International Halal Integrity Alliance, this lounge includes dedicated prayer rooms alongside halal dining options.

Amenities: Premium food, non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, and prayer rooms

Food and Drink: Mediterranean and Indian cuisines are popular here. The buffet features dishes such as chicken curry served with basmati rice, falafel with pita bread and tahini sauce, and vegetarian aloo gobi. Protein options include hard-boiled eggs and lamb moussaka. All preparations are certified halal, with no alcohol or pork products anywhere in the facility.

The Lotus Premier Lounge opened as part of the launch of Tan Son Nhat's new Terminal 3 in early 2025. It is largely accessible to Million Milers and their guests, though it is also available as a paid option.

The Le Saigonnais Business Lounge (Terminal 1) and The SENS Business Lounge (Terminal 3) offer strong value at 456,545 VND (US$18) for access. Full amenities, including runway views and Vietnamese dining, match pricier international lounges. The opening hours cover most domestic flight times effectively.

The Rose Business Lounge (Terminal 2) operates 24 hours a day. Quick visits benefit from the central location and efficient pho station. It can also be a practical choice for shorter visits when you do not need shower facilities.

The Apricot Business Lounge (Terminal 2) offers Terminal 2's only pay-per-use shower facilities. The 24-hour schedule and quieter Level 1 location create better opportunities for rest. Limited food variety matters less during overnight connections focused on refreshment.

The Jasmine Halal Lounge (Terminal 2) delivers unique features beyond standard lounge offerings. Prayer rooms, family-friendly layout, and halal certification serve specific traveler needs. Two-story views and Mediterranean-Indian cuisine provide variety at a solid price point.

• Terminal 1: Le Saigonnais offers central access (near Gate 11).

• Terminal 2: Rose Business Lounge offers the most central access (near Gates 8-9).

Tan Son Nhat International Airport offers paid-access lounges across all three terminals, although your options depend on where you’re flying.
