Cancun International Airport (CUN) Lounges: A Comprehensive Guide

Cancun International Airport (CUN) is the main gateway to one of Mexico’s most popular tourist destinations. It is one of Latin America’s busiest airports and has 4 terminals, with a free shuttle bus connecting them.

Located 12 km (8 mi) from downtown Cancun and 20 km (12 mi) from the Hotel Zone, the airport is accessible by taxi, bus, hotel shuttle or rental car.

This guide covers the airport lounges available across Terminals 2, 3, and 4. (Terminal 1 is used mainly for charter and private aviation flights and does not have lounges.)

There are 8 lounges in total, with access available through advance booking, lounge memberships, eligible premium cards and some walk-up entry options. Whether you want to work, grab a drink or relax before your flight, there are plenty of choices available.

There are two airport lounges available in Terminal 2.

Terminal 2, airside after security. Take the escalators on the right-hand side towards Gate A. The lounge is located behind the escalators.

Passengers departing on domestic flights have a maximum stay of 2 hours, and for international flights 3 hours.

Located in Terminal 2, airside after security. Proceed left and take the escalator to the second floor. Pass the duty free shops and the lounge is located on the left-hand side.

Cancun International Airport is a great airport for travellers looking to relax before their flight.

With a total of 8 airport lounges across Terminals 2, 3 and 4, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy some rest, drinks, and food before departure, or even on arrival for those lounges that are before security.

It is relatively rare to come across an airport with so many options for paid entry.
